What to do in Surrey this Easter weekend

What to do in Surrey this Easter weekend

With the weather warming up, what better way to enjoy the long Easter weekend than to get outside with the family and take part in an Easter egg hunt. We’ve picked some of the best-taking place across the county this weekend.

National Trust

Head to one of Surrey’s many National Trust spots for a scenic day out and fun for the kids with a Cadbury Easter Egg hunt. Choose from 10 sites including Polesden Lacey in Great Bookham, Claremont Landscape Gardens near Guildford, Shalford Mill and Winkworth Arboretum near Godalming.

Royal Historic Palaces

The Lindt Gold Bunny hunt returns again this year to the historic royal grounds of Hampton Court Palace. Take your family back in time and join the hunt around King Henry VIII’s home and gardens.

Gatton Park

Explore these beautiful Edwardian gardens near Reigate looking for clues to win chocolate eggs. Youngsters can also take part in a selection of Easter crafts and games and have their face painted.

Bocketts Farm Park
Head down to this popular petting farm in Fetcham and the kids will not only get to follow a themed trail to find chocolate treats, but also meet lots of gorgeous new born chicks, lambs and ducklings.

Squires Garden Centres

If you’re short on time then you’ll find a selection of smaller hunts for the little ones at Squires garden centres across the county. Simply find the names of the hidden bunnies around the garden centre and children will receive a large boy or girl chocolate bunny of their choice.
