By Richard Stovold, Director of Seymours in Burpham

It’s that time of the year again. Yes, Christmas is approaching and following the success of last year’s Christmas card design competition, we thought we’d do it again – but with a slightly different twist.

For those who don’t know, last year we launched a Christmas card design competition in which we encouraged children throughout Surrey to design the front cover of our festive card.

Not only did the winner get to showcase their artwork to thousands of homes throughout Surrey, but they also won £1,000 for their school to reinvest in facilities and equipment, in addition to an iPad for themselves.

Whilst the 2015 competition is broadly the same, this year’s winner will receive £1,000 to donate to a charity of their choice as well as a self-balancing scooter (also known as a Swegway or Hoverboard).

Given how popular the latest scooter craze is combined with the fact that everyone likes to help a charity that’s close to their hearts, we’re expecting to receive a lot of entries from the Surrey community.

The good news is that we’ve made it as easy as possible for you to enter. All you need to do is a) be 15 or younger, b) live in Surrey and c) submit your design by 30th November. What’s more, for this year we’ve created a design template which you can either download hereor collect from your nearest Seymours office. Simply pop in and ask for the Christmas design template.

Remember, the deadline is 5pm on Friday 30th November. Any entries made later than this time will not be reviewed. For a full list of terms and conditions click here.

All that’s left for me to say is good luck, have fun and we look forward to seeing one lucky winner’s design on the front cover of this year’s Christmas card.
