Did you know that for the first time this year the county of Surrey will be celebrating its very own day?
Many other counties have their own day - across the border in Sussex, June 16th is the day of celebrations and people living in the historic county of Middlesex commemorate their heritage on May 16th.
Now, we’re incredibly excited that Surrey will have its very own date in the calendar – May 4th – when communities can gather together to celebrate the county’s heritage and everything that is great about living in Surrey.
This week, the event’s organisers – Surrey Life magazine, BBC Surrey and the county’s official tourist board Visit Surrey, unveiled the Seven Wonders of Surrey, which were voted for by readers of Surrey Life and listeners of BBC Surrey.
These included Waverley Abbey, Leith Hill Tower, Brooklands Museum, Virginia Water Lake, Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, Woking Mosque and The River Wey.
Seymours Estate Agents has been operating in Surrey for over a quarter of a century and our business is very much entrenched in the local community – as such we think we’re a bit of a Surrey Wonder!
We believe Surrey to be one of the best places in the country to live and the staff at each of our 18 branches – from Blackwater and Camberley in the east to Surbiton in the north and Cranleigh in the south – have mountains of knowledge about the best places in which to buy or rent a home in the county and really make the best of what it has to offer.
