LOCAL THEATRE CONTINUES TO ATTRACT SUPPORT FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES

In-between rehearsals for this year’s Christmas stage production of Aladdin, the team at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre has found time to develop its partnership programme having renewed its sponsorship deal with Seymours for 2013.
The West Surrey network of Independent Estate Agents, which sponsored the theatre throughout 2012, will continue to support the venue over the next 12 months.
Paul Rickard, Director at Seymours in Guildford, comments: “The Yvonne Arnaud is one of Guildford’s gems and one of the region’s most treasured cultural venues. Whilst businesses throughout the Surrey area continue to feel the pinch, it’s essential that we all rally together to support local talent and ensure that the theatre is in a position to continue providing the community with first-class stage productions.”
The deal forms part of the theatre’s aim to grow its funding stream and provide local businesses throughout Surrey with a ‘cultural investment’ that they can use as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
Isabel Kay, Yvonne Arnaud’s Funding Officer, adds: “We acknowledge that it’s a difficult time for businesses everywhere so it’s great that Seymours is able to commit to the theatre on an on-going basis. Sponsorship from local businesses plays a large role in maintaining our profile and ensuring the theatre’s longevity so we thank Seymours and all our external partners for their continued support.”
To celebrate its commitment to the theatre and help beat those January blues, Seymours is giving away five pairs of tickets for selected performances of shows in January. All you need to do to be in with a chance to win is join Seymours’ Facebook community. The winners will be randomly drawn at midday on Friday 21December and notified by 5pm.
