‘POP UP’ ROADSHOW ATTRACTS WEST COUNTRY PROPERTY HUNTERS TO G LIVE

Mon 01 Jun 2015

The 22nd Annual West Country Property Roadshow, which was hosted by Seymours in partnership with West Country estate agents, Webbers, welcomed a large audience to the ‘pop-up’ estate agency at G Live on Saturday 16 May.

The majority of prospective buyers sought properties between £300,000 to £1,000,000, which represented a lower entry point than last year’s event, when eager property hunters were typically looking for properties ranging from £500,000 to £1,000,000.

This year’s event also saw a mixture of investors and those looking to relocate focus less on coastal properties and more on country properties in a village location and ‘within walking distance of a pub.’

Paul Rickard, Director of Seymours in Guildford and one of the event’s organisers, comments: “It’s amazing what a 12-month period can do when it comes to budget and location. The focus for this year’s event was very different from in 2014 however the range and selection of properties on offer catered for a range of budgets and requirements. We’re delighted that the event is growing in popularity, that Seymours, in partnership with Webbers, is available to provide an ‘on your doorstep’ property service and how we’re able to add value to our clients throughout Surrey.”

Napoleon Wilcox, Director of Webbers and Head of Webbers Fine & Country, adds: “The age of the internet has changed a lot of things since the exhibition first started back in 1994, making so much more information available to buyers and sellers without them ever needing to leave the confines of their own home. Despite this, every year, the Webbers and Webbers Fine & Country West Country Property Exhibition is very well attended not only by local buyers from the Guildford area but also by a number of buyers who travel 50 to 75 miles to attend the event. This year was no exception, with buyers attending not only from Surrey, but also from Kent and Oxfordshire.”

The event is over for 2015 however the roadshow must go on and Seymours is calling for all those who missed this year’s free ticket to the West Country to contact their local Seymours office to find out what is on the market.
