Guildford

Seymours Guildford opened in 1992 and after the Ripley office is the second oldest Seymours office in Surrey.

The ethos has always been service, service, service and Seymours Guildford has been the appointed representative of The Guild of Professional Estate Agents for nearly 10 years now. The Guild appoints just one member per area, based on integrity and professionalism.

The office deals with property within a 10 mile radius , taking in Guildford town centre, Bramley, Shamley Green, Wonersh, Chilworth, Gomshall, Ewhurst, Shalford, Shere, Albury and Cranleigh.

The partners and negotiators offer valuations, help clients buy and sell their homes, and also advise on buy-to-let investments.

Founding partner at London Road is Paul Rickard, who has been an estate agent for 35 years and went to school in Guildford. He lives here too, so he knows the area intimately.

“I get the greatest satisfaction from handing over the keys and seeing a big smile on the face of my clients for a job well done,” says Paul. “We want to help in every way to make the experience of moving and buying and selling as stress-free and pleasant as possible.”

Paul Rickard is married with two children, three cats and a dog. He loves music and is a former Head Chorister at Guildford Cathedral. Paul is a family man and also loves playing tennis, Formula 1. He is a  passionate supporter of his home town club, Newcastle United.

James Sharpin, partner, has been in property for 15 years and, like Paul, went to George Abbot School in Guildford. He knows the area backwards and says: “What I love is giving the best service and seeing so many different people happy once you have helped them secure or sell their house.”

James lives locally with his two children and wife, and his interests are football and cricket.

Richard Stovold, partner, says that he is a great believer in the general Seymours ethos of personal service and being passionate about the business.

“We know the stress involved in moving and so we treat our clients as we’d want to be treated ourselves. That means communicating with all parties at all times and guiding them through every stage of the transaction. That way everyone is aware of the time scale in the chain and there are no surprises.”

Richard is married with two children and his interests include sailing, swimming, working out at the gym and listening to all genres of music.

Seymours Guildford supports the Holy Trinity School and the local Shamley Green Parish magazine.
